Roblox not working? What to try

Website won't load

Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R), then a private window. If it loads there, clear the site's cookies and cache or disable extensions.

App not working

Force quit the app and reopen it, then check the App Store or Google Play for an update. Switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data rules out your network.

Can't connect to games

Restart the console or launcher and check for updates. Don't reinstall during an outage; if others can't connect either, it's the servers.

Docs or projects not loading

Reload the page and check whether you're in offline mode. Avoid heavy editing during an outage because changes may not save; copy anything important locally.

Rule out your own connection

  • Check whether other sites load. If nothing loads, the problem is your internet connection.
  • Restart your router or switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data.
  • Turn off any VPN, ad blocker or DNS filter and try again.

Roblox status FAQ

Is Roblox down right now?

No. Our last check of Roblox 2 minutes ago found it up and responding. This page updates every 5 minutes.

Why is Roblox not working for me?

If this page shows Roblox as up, the problem is most likely on your side: your browser, app, Wi-Fi, DNS or VPN. Try a private window, another device, or mobile data. If it fails everywhere and other people are reporting problems, it's an outage.

When was the last Roblox outage?

We haven't recorded a confirmed Roblox outage in the last 90 days. We count an outage when Roblox fails our checks for at least 10 minutes in a row.

How do I check Roblox status?

This page checks Roblox every 5 minutes from our server and shows the result, response times and outage history. Roblox also publishes an official status page with incident updates.

Can I get an alert when Roblox goes down?

Yes. Add Roblox (or your own website) as a monitor in Notifier and you'll get an email, SMS or phone call alert the moment it stops responding. The free plan covers 10 monitors. Start monitoring free.
