What is Notifier's website uptime monitoring?

Notifier is a website monitoring service that checks your websites, APIs, and servers around the clock and alerts you instantly when something goes down. We check your URLs at intervals as frequent as every 30 seconds and notify you via email, SMS, or phone call so you can fix issues before your customers notice.

What is an uptime monitor?

An uptime monitor is an automated check that regularly visits your website or API endpoint to verify it's working correctly. Each monitor watches a single URL and checks for a successful response (like an HTTP 200 status code). If the check fails, you get notified immediately. You can create multiple monitors to watch different parts of your infrastructure.

How do I monitor the uptime of a website?

Sign up for a free Notifier account, click "Add Monitor," and enter the URL you want to monitor. Choose your check interval (how often we check your site) and select how you want to be notified when it goes down. That's it. The whole process takes less than 30 seconds and we'll start monitoring immediately.

How do I create a status page?

After adding your monitors, go to the Status Pages section and click "Create Status Page." Select which monitors to display, customize the appearance, and publish. You'll get a public URL you can share with customers. Paid plans include custom domain support so you can host your status page at something like status.yourcompany.com.

What can I monitor with Notifier?

You can monitor any publicly accessible URL including websites, REST APIs, GraphQL endpoints, webhooks, and web applications. We check HTTP/HTTPS endpoints and verify they return successful status codes. This works for marketing sites, SaaS applications, e-commerce stores, internal tools, and API health checks.

How often does Notifier check my website?

Check frequency depends on your plan. The Free plan checks every 5 minutes. The Solo plan ($4/month) checks every 1 minute. The Team plan ($19/month) and Enterprise plan ($35/month) check as frequently as every 30 seconds. More frequent checks mean faster detection of downtime so you can respond quicker.

Can I monitor from multiple locations or regions?

Multi-region monitoring is coming very soon! This feature will let you check your site from different geographic locations to catch regional outages and verify global availability. If you're interested in helping us beta test this feature, reach out to us in the chat widget at the bottom right corner of the page.

How do I get an alert when my website is down?

Notifier supports multiple notification channels. Email alerts are included on all plans. SMS text messages and phone call alerts are available for urgent notifications. You can also integrate with Slack to get alerts in your team channels. When creating a monitor, simply select which notification methods you want and we'll alert you through all of them when downtime is detected.

Can I monitor APIs and specific endpoints?

Yes! Monitor any URL you want. Check HTTP status codes, response times, and even response body content. Perfect for API health checks.

Do you offer a free plan?

Yes! Our free plan includes 10 monitors, 5 status pages, and a 5 minute check interval. No credit card required.

How long does setup take?

Less than 30 seconds. Add your URL, select your monitoring interval, and we'll notify you via email when something goes wrong.
