The <strong>nvidia</strong> cards worked out of the box I think or maybe I ran some cli after Googling, I can't remember for sure.
I just followed the official Omarchy guide. I actually fed all the Omarchy docs to NotebookLM and used its chatbot for help with customisation and stuff.

FPS issues
I’ve got a <strong>nvidia</strong> 4060 graphics card with an i7-14700F cpu & a monitor capable of running at 180hz but the most i can muster out of this game is 60fps if im lucky. i’m not sure what else to do, i’ve adjusted my <strong>nvidia</strong> settings, in game settings, such as turning v-sync off, changing from vulkan to directx, updating my <strong>nvidia</strong> drivers. my cpu & gpu don’t even come close to running at full capacity. does anybody have any advice?
This is a nightmare. Hopefully RMA to <strong>Nvidia</strong>, Card Brand, or PSU works. I would buy one on amazon for 30 days and just return it while you figure this out, might be some weeks. Should be a cheap repair or sell for decent value on facebook.

Hi normally would build my pcs but this prebuilt from cyberpower doesn’t look too bad, I could be wrong. The last pc i built was 10 years ago and although fun im not that bothered about paying a £100/200 premium for it to be shipped ready with a warranty. Pretty sure the W530 has a dedicated <strong>NVIDIA</strong> gpu but not sure which. But the T480 is a much newer machine. I’d imagine that the 5-6 years difference in a practical sense means the integrated Intel HD 620 graphics in most T480 machines is about the same performance wise unless you’re doing CAD and need the dedicated video memory.
There’s also many more modern features like multi touch trackpad and USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 on the T480.

you will want to use qemu-kvm when using linux and virtualizing linux, android... or even windows.

I had noticed this behaviour before but not like 20+ fps, i noticed that some stutter was gone, i have no clue why, i use Hyprland+<strong>Nvidia</strong>, if i had to give a answer, maybe when you alt+tab the game he is in the "background state" and take less resources and then when you refocus on the game maybe because the game needs to be render again the system uses more power on it? Latest linux kernel 6.17.5 fix most of <strong>nvidia</strong> gpu driver issues, still quite need some general tweaks.
I've had this monitor for less than a month. So far no issues with G-Sync via HDMI 2.1 or Displayport 1.4 cables.
HDMI 2.1 can do 280hz without DSC (compression) whereas Displayport 1.4 can't. However I haven't noticed any visual quality loss using Displayport/DSC on this monitor. It doesn't make a difference to me, which is why I'm using Displayport now with my <strong>Nvidia</strong> 3070.

EXTREMELY low fps when loading into base at launch.
So, I've got a pretty weird problem. If I start the game by loading into my main base (relatively small I would say) my fps goes to about 6-8 and stays there. If I leave my main base, the fps stays at 6. However, if I start the game loading in somewhere else my fps is relatively normal (still somewhat low but around 50-60) and I can teleport to my main base while the fps remains around 50-60.

The NAS is fine just for storing your media. Its probably not going to be the best option for running Plex server.

The CPU score only matters if you need to transcode. Without transcoding all Plex is doing is transferring a file from one place to another. All that matters there is the connection from your HDDs to Plex, and from Plex to the client.

They were far from perfect during the ATI days, though it sounds like most of your issues are to do with windows and windows drivers. <strong>Nvidia</strong> cards require extra mucking around on linux, whereas AMDs are built in.
