Many times people tend to click on the comment icon to post and view the comments, which is completely wrong. Clicking on the comment button, will just open a dialog box to post a new comment under the same post.
Option 1:
Step 1: To view the comments, you need to click on the timestamp showing when the particular tweet was published.
Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom to view all the comments on that particular post.
Option 2:
Click on the tweet and it will immediately open in the overlay. Just ensure to not click on the retweet or comment icons or the link mentioned in the tweet. The reason being, that will open the retweet dialog box or redirect you to the page mentioned in the link.
These tricks work perfectly on desktop as well as mobile apps. Just take care of the point mentioned and you should be able to access the comment section effortlessly.
