Look, I feel for y'all who are having difficulty with the PC version. **But I'm going to be real with everyone** I'm having a blast on XBX, aside from rare crashes and occasionally getting stuck in or under the map, everything runs great. Some of the janky-ness gets a good laugh out of me, I'm oldschool though, so it takes me back a bit. 🤣 I have been hoping this day would come for a long while seeing Microsoft share exclusives like Sea of Thieves, Forza, and Gears of War on ...

"Understand that Linux development is a bunch of people who do things because they enjoy coding and want to make the world a better place." Agreed, but then again, the huge amounts of money poured in by companies like Valve, IBM, Google, Oracle, Amazon and even Microsoft speak of a different reality.

For me, my local e-tailer have shops that sell Microsoft keys for low prices. Never had any issues activating them. Just need to make sure to order it close to the time of installation. At this moment, never pay for the full price of Windows 11. Why? Because it sucks, and Microsoft have done so little to improve it, and so much to ruin it. You're bombarded with ads and bloatware. Forced to use online accounts. In every single update, some core component ...

We do not do a 1:1 match between WinGet and Microsoft Store because of our internal policies. I doubt its truly at 90%, but lets say its even at 70%, the real issue is how the Linux kernel can be manipulated to allow cheating. Second problem is getting folks who have been using MS products for over two to three decades to migrate in a way that affects meaningful change in the gaming space. I don't believe Microsoft has turned up the temperature enough for this statistic to mean anything yet. Once it gets to the point where you have to have a special gaming co-pilot ena...

1000 might be pushing it, but you could build a decent 1080p gaming pc for around 1000-1250ish? Just my initial thoughts: PC case, CPU cooler, and power supply all look like good choices to me. That’s about 300 I have 2 tb of storage on my pc, which I use for 1440p gaming, and I haven’t ever been even half full. I’m not sure you need so much storage even for photos and family video unless you have a lot of them you’ll be putting on there immediately. It’s also easy to add more storage later if...

Google is all adds. Few moonshots but an unclear future compared to Microsoft. Better value, worse company. R and d is hard. Google wants organic growth, Microsoft just buys the winner. Google currently prints more money, but not as diversified. I’m not gonna shit on Google, I think they’re more likely to “explode” in good and bad ways is all.

It's not "developers". There's plenty of devs working on Linux and more that would prefer to do so. We exchange this because Linux devs make the Internet go brrr. It's how your stocks get traded and how you get your weather report and most web sites you visit. It's about proprietary software publishers. And they start caring the second the market share becomes big enough (5-10% is my guess). They need a minimal market size to justify permanent employees not only for porting itself, but also st...

Worth mentioning the rehiring happens through third party staffing agencies, only on a semi permanent basis, so they can get away with not providing anything but minimum benefits. Source : Been through the ringer for Google, Microsoft and Amazon, experiencing it first hand and seeing my teammates' lives turned upside down due to pure corporate greed and incompetent management.

First off, I want to start By saying thank you for taking the time. These are Totally fair questions. We’re not trying to tag every piece of data or act like a “magic firewall.” What we do is connect to vendors’ existing admin APIs (Google, Microsoft, Slack, GitHub, etc.) to see which apps or tokens have access, revoke them when needed, and prove it actually happened with receipts, logs, and API confirmations. It’s not about replacing their systems. it’s about making those syste...

Up until then the Xbox division under Microsoft was effectively an accounting error. Now, after being convinced to dump 70 billion dollars into an acquisition, corporate has been watching the Xbox division a lot more closely and realizing they aren't making back the money they've spent. So now they are forcing Xbox to justify their existence by turning a profit as quick as possible, and the only way to do that in a short amount of time is cancel projects, shutter studios, lay of...

If it happens even when the computer is idle, it's possible you have a virus that is hogging bandwidth on your PC, but you'd want to rule out other issues, such as low available internet service bandwidth, router issues, etc. Check task manager performance tab for any processes/programs using a lot of bandwidth. Run a virus scan using microsoft malicious software removal tool. Check for updated ethernet network adapter drivers.

No. I hate criticism thats dramatic. Disconnects being valid, absolutely, its the self grandiosing tone over what is a blip on the scale. This is drama, we all payed 20$ for something that's not out yet, thats explicitly not out in its full state. Most of us have already owned early access games and understand that they are still likely years away from full release, that they are works in progress where the developer is asking in earnest for support financially and with functionality. If your organization is already setup around Exchange On-Prem, then Exchange Online/M365 is going to be the most seamless transition for your users, workflows. If you want to avoid Microsoft, there's also Google Apps/Workspace/Suite (whatever they're calling it this month). If you enjoy the games you should try to enjoy the series. Enough interest in the anime ***will*** spark interest in shareholders to push for new titles. A good example is how Microsoft has openly pushed Bethesda to increase the speed of the Fallout game pipeline as a direct result of the success of the show. In general I think it's more important to give things a chance and find reasons to like it rather than reasons to dislike it.

\>Overall I think it's very likely these datacenters have reduced demand on the grid. Unfortunately I think because of large power demands in one place, the grid obviously can get strained in locations where these data centers are present. lol no. They have increased demand greatly. When companies had their own servers (at a headquarters or in their own data center), they usually didn't pay for nearly as much redundancy that Amazon or Google or Microsoft have.
