How to unhide a Reddit post

Unhiding on the desktop site
Unhiding a previously hidden post on the Reddit desktop website is easy. First, you locate the dropdown icon at the top right corner of the screen, next to your username icon. Clicking on the dropdown will reveal a series of links, including your “online status,” your “profile”, and a link to your avatar. Select “Your profile.”
Selecting “your profile” will take you to a different window that lets you access and control different aspects of your Reddit profile. Right below the page’s control bar, you will find a series of options, including “Overview,” “Posts,” “Comments,” “Saved,” “Hidden,” “Upvoted,” “Downvoted,” “Awards Received,” and “Awards Given.” Select “Hidden” to access the Reddit content you have previously hidden. Here, you will find all the content you have hidden on the platform.
To unhide the post, all you have to do is to look for “unhide” among the options below the post and click it. “Unhide” will be among other post options like the post’s comments, “Award,” “Share,” “Save,” “ Unhide,” and “Report.” As the name implies, selecting “unhide” will unhide the post. The post will also no longer be in your “hidden” section.
You can also unhide your posts on the old design slightly differently. Click on your username in the top-right corner of Reddit’s homepage. This would take you to your profile, where you can fund your hidden posts. Similar to the new Reddit design, you will find several options below the control bar, including “Overview,” “Comments,” “ Submitted,” “Gilded,” “Upvoted,” “Downvoted,” “Hidden,” and “Saved.” Select “Hidden” as well, and this would display your hidden posts.

Mobile app
Like with the web version of Reddit, you can also unhide your posts on the Reddit mobile app. lick your image icon at the top right corner of the screen. This will reveal a panel that displays “my profile,” “create a community,” and others. Click on “History” at the bottom of the panel. This will take you to a different window with a drop-down at the top-left corner of the screen. The dropdown window includes four options, including “Recents,” “Upvoted,” “Downvoted,” and “Hidden.”
Click on “Hidden” to view your hidden posts. To unhide any of your hidden posts, you have to click on the three-dot icon at the top-left corner right above the post. This will reveal a new window with several options, including “Share,” “Save,” “Copy text,” etc. Find “Unhide” below “Block user” and click on it to unhide the post.
Mobile website
You can also unhide posts on the mobile website version of Reddit. Click on the three-line icon on the top right corner of your screen. It will reveal a panel that discloses your user name, link to your profile, link to your inbox, coins, premium, powerups, and your communities. Click on your username to go to your profile.
After getting to your profile, look for “Hidden” among the options below “Edit profile.” These options include “Overview,” “Post,” “Comments,” “Moderation,” “Saved,” and “Hidden.” Selecting “Hidden” will direct you to your hidden posts. To unhide a post, click on the three-dot icon at the top-left corner right above the post. This will reveal a new window with several options, including “Permalink,” “More from xx,” “Save,” and “ Unhide.” Click on unhide to unhide the post.
When you hide a post on Reddit, it immediately and automatically disappears from the Reddit feed. This action does not necessarily require the post owner’s intervention. As a result, hiding or unhiding a post happens entirely on your side. As such, the post owner will not receive any notification whether you hide or unhide their post.
Knowing that you may be unable to unhide some Reddit posts is vital. This could be as the post is no longer available or the relevant moderators have removed it. However, it could be that your karma is insufficient to allow you to view the post.
How to hide your posts

On the old desktop Reddit design, you can hide posts by simply clicking on them from the options below the post. You can find it among other options like the number of comments, “Share,” “Save,” “Save,” “Give award,” “Report,” and “Crosspost.”
On the new desktop design, you have to click on the three-line icon after options like the comment numbers, “Award,” “Share,” and “Save.” Clicking on the icon will reveal two more options, including “Hide.” Selecting “Hide” will hide the post, sending it to your hidden section in your profile.
Hiding posts require a different approach on the Reddit mobile website than on desktop websites. To hide a post on the Reddit mobile website, click on the three-dot icon at the top-left corner right above the post. This will reveal a new window with several options, including “Permalink,” “More from xx,” “Save,” and “Hide.” Click on hide to send the post to your hidden folder.
