We’ve been busy behind the scenes this week working on improvements and new features for the Notifier platform. Here’s everything we’ve been working on and what’s coming next.
Bug Fixes and Minor Improvements
Notification Type Selection Fix We’re currently addressing an issue with the searcher creation process. When you select a notification type other than email and then return to edit it, the interface incorrectly defaults back to email. While your actual selection is being saved properly on the backend, we know this UI behavior is confusing. This fix will be deployed within the next day or two.
Mobile Experience Improvements If you use Notifier on mobile, you’ll notice the hamburger menu is now working properly. We hadn’t realized this functionality was broken and appreciate your patience while we got it sorted.
UI Enhancement We’ve added a small but useful feature – you can now minimize the interface panel. While this might seem minor, it’s a common pattern across web applications that many users find helpful.
Major Backend Work: Teams Architecture Overhaul
The biggest project we’re tackling this week happens entirely behind the scenes. We’re making significant architectural changes to our teams functionality.
We’re consistently surprised by how popular the teams feature is. Many users create teams and invite members with specific permissions, making collaboration a key part of how Notifier is used. However, the initial implementation was somewhat rushed, and we’re now taking the time to rebuild it properly.
These architectural improvements will provide a much stronger foundation for enhanced team features going forward. Expect this work to be completed by the end of the week.
What’s Coming Next
After completing the teams architecture work, here’s our roadmap for the coming weeks:
Purchasing Options We’ll be adding the ability to purchase additional matches and AI credits, giving you more flexibility in how you use the platform.
Expanded AI Model Support We’re adding support for additional AI models for our verification functionality. We’ve observed interesting behavior differences between models – some excel in certain use cases while others perform better elsewhere. This includes support for more cost-effective models, particularly from Google, which should substantially reduce AI verification costs.
New Platform Integrations LinkedIn, Facebook, Quora, and several other platforms will be added to our supported sources.
Semantic Search One of our most exciting upcoming features is semantic search. Unlike our current keyword-based approach, this will offer a second search option that focuses on meaning rather than exact matches. This will be available as an alternative search type in the interface.
Results Interface Improvements We’re planning significant enhancements to the results viewing interface, adding more information to help you quickly assess how important each result is to your specific needs.
