Does Notifier search through all of Reddit's history?

No, Notifier is designed for real-time monitoring, not historical searches. When you set up a searcher with your keywords, it begins monitoring for new mentions going forward from that point.

Think of it like setting up a Google Alert - you're not searching through everything that's ever been posted, but rather creating a system that will notify you whenever your keywords are mentioned in new posts, comments, or discussions.

This real-time approach is perfect for lead generation, brand monitoring, and staying on top of conversations as they happen, rather than trying to find old discussions.

Note: We do offer a 30-day search history option that you can enable when creating a searcher, which allows you to search through the past 30 days of content in addition to real-time monitoring.

Do you support Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Quora?

How quickly will I start getting results after setting up a searcher?

It entirely depends on the keywords you set up and how frequently they occur on the platforms. We recommend starting broad initially and then narrowing things down over a few hours if you start getting too many matches.

We provide an AI tutorial inside the dashboard when creating a searcher that explains how to use AI to help you come up with better search filters and gives you specific prompts to use.

Can I pause or modify my searchers after setting them up?

Yes, absolutely! It's easy to pause or modify your searchers anytime. You have full control over your searchers and can adjust them as your needs change.

What happens if I reach my monthly result limit?

You can easily purchase additional matches at a very affordable rate directly in your dashboard. No need to worry about hitting limits unexpectedly.

Do I need technical knowledge to use Notifier?

No technical knowledge required! We provide fantastic support and you can schedule a support call with us at any time.

The hardest part about Notifier is often just identifying what keywords to search for, but our support team can help brainstorm with you if you can't figure out what to search for.

How is this different from just searching Reddit manually?

Reddit's search is notoriously bad, and manual searching requires you to constantly check for new mentions. Notifier notifies you within seconds of new matches.

On social media, the earliest comments often get the most upvotes, so it's critical to get in there early. Plus, Reddit posts often get indexed by Google, leading to massive traffic - just search "best VPN software" on Google to see Reddit results dominating the search results.

Can I use this for competitor analysis?

Yes, absolutely! We highly recommend setting up three key types of searchers: brand mentions (monitor your own brand), competitor mentions (monitor competitors), and lead generation (monitor keywords your ideal customers mention).

For example, if you're launching a VPN software, you might search for "VPN software" AND "recommendations" to find people asking for suggestions.

Can I monitor my own brand mentions?

Yes, absolutely! We highly recommend monitoring your own brand mentions. Depending on your brand name, you may want to use the AI verification option to ensure you're finding mentions of your specific brand.

For example, if you were Apple (the technology company), you'd want to find mentions of Apple the tech company, not Apple the food.

How does AI verification work?

AI verification costs 1 AI credit per verification. You can easily purchase additional AI credits in your dashboard if needed, though most users find the included amount perfect for their needs.

When a match occurs through our traditional filter matching, AI verification provides an additional verification step. You describe exactly what you're looking for in a prompt, and the AI reviews the match to confirm it's exactly what you want. It's a very powerful feature that many of our customers use.

Can I target specific geographic locations in my monitoring?

Location targeting varies by platform.

On Reddit, you can monitor location-specific subreddits (like r/NewYork or r/LosAngeles).

For X (Twitter), location data is available through their paid API - contact us for guidance on setting this up.

Other platforms we monitor (news sites, blogs, YouTube, Hacker News) don't currently support location-based filtering. Feel free to reach out for platform-specific capabilities and limitations.
