This is like the skipping leg day meme. It's interesting your stonecutting is so low - what are you doing with all the gems you mine?

Suisei doesn't skip leg day. Sadly she misunderstood due to it not being called leg*s* day.

I don't hate him i just think he doesn't deserve exposure, because it's a tilted game like gambling frauds in the street when you go to Rome. I don't judge him for being conservative, but you can clearly see his pattern on his show. If you have a political bias in your mind, then the whole point of hosting a show called "change my mind" is just to never give ground to other opinions, because that would defeat the very cause of "standing your ground". Would he get views on yt if he's defeated on some random topic? No. he would just get a "young conservative roasted in the street" video and backtracking his agenda. And sure, you can pick up one thing or two in the videos and yes, he does let people talk. But if you watch closely you can see his pattern of manipulating the debate with his own rules. I can tell because I was in debate club in school (I know, but hey, it's not much but it's honest work). In short, there are reasons why political debate, or any form of debate in that matter, have strict rules and needs a host. It's almost like holding up a sign saying "I'll always beat you in a left pinky-toe wrestling. Prove me wrong." No one off the street is always prepared for that fight. Someone thinking "I never skip leg day so I might win" joins, and lol and behold, your opponent is also the referee and the host and the editor and the broadcaster. Anyway, despite you got downvoted I still respect your question a lot, and frankly that's the whole point I wanted ppl to talk about when I'm posting this. Cheers

Leg day is more fun at your house than most!

Hit a PR of 405 lbs on the leg press then followed with a high rep leg day the next day. Thank God it's bye week. Walking hurts and I am doing a 14 day detox of inflammatory things and caffeine.

Thanks! This could be it… but not sure why it’s happening all of the sudden. I’ve been in the gym for many years and have always gone hard on leg day - just never had this sick feeling. Going to look into it more. Thanks again for the tip!

Hey! I quite recently also got into squatting and deadlifting after mainly doing calisthenics stuff for a while and I currently do almost exactly what you describe - calisthenics PPL with alternating heavy/light squats and deads on leg day- so we're almost in the same boat. Currently, it's working quite well for me and my goals so I think you should honestly just try it and see what kind of results you can get out of it, if it works well you should probably just keep at it. As it is, you could absolutely make decent progress on your deadlift if you practice them twice a week. Putting any decent numbers on your squat will however be a bit more difficult if you're only training them once a week, but seeing as you're new to them you could make some decent gains. If you want optimal gains however, you should probably find and use a good, pre-designed program (template) like Tonto mentioned.

Why does she look like she does leg day 9 days a week?

She seems like skips leg day.

Would recommend doing 2 leg days per week rather than one.

Hitting the stationary after leg day dramatically reduces DOMS for me. I don't understand why but it works.

I guess she ‘can’ ‘skip’ leg day

On Monday and Friday I have gym in the morning and then judo in the evening. It's quite easily manageable for me. They are the 2 easier, more technique focused judo sessions I do compared to Wednesday and Saturday which are hard randori, so that helps. You're need to be on top of your diet, sleeping and hydration in order to facilitate recovery. I really notice my ability to recover dropping off quickly if I am only getting 6 hours a sleep a night for example. You might have to do lower volume in the gym than you are used to- it will probably take some playing around to figure out what volume you can recover from in time for judo (and will be dependent on how intense the judo classes are). I do 4 gym sessions a week, but the total volume per week is less than I would do in 3 gym days if the only training I was doing was the gym. I found that doing full body workouts is easier to recover from than doing a leg day and then not being able to walk at judo. Also, make sure you have at least one full rest day a week (and two is even better).

I'm not one to talk, but don't skip leg day

Deadlift day would be deadlifts 4x3 followed by back and bicep work. Leg day would be squats 4x5 followed by 4x8 RDL, 4x12 hack squats, 4x12 leg press, maybe some leg extensions, and maybe some calves

That’s why you don’t skip leg day

So recently I decided to get into “powerbuilding” after doing more calisthenics focused stuff for awhile, because I think deadlifting and squatting big weight is just awesome. I’ve been on a push/pull/legs/push/pull split for awhile now (yes, only one leg day) and i really enjoy it and would like to keep it that way if possible. So my plan is to deadlift on a pull day, and then do squats along w leg accessories on my 1 leg day. And then after I get all the gains I can out of doing that, at that point I would switch to doing 2 leg days w one being heavy squat and lighter/volume deads and the other being heavy deads and lighter/volume squats. Or if needed I would keep deadlift on a pull day and do squats twice a week. So my question is 1. does this sound like a good plan and 2. will i be able to build up to solid deadlift and squat numbers just doing deadlifts pull day and squats on my leg day?

I started finishing all my leg days with 20 minutes of step machine and wow I've never hit my glutes so hard in my life. Feels pretty great, less soreness the next day for some reason.

Show up at 5am. 15-16 sets of whatever muscle group is next in the rotation. Stretch. Planks or burpees (wind sprints on leg days.) Leave.

I feel your pain. Ran my Warlock primary yesterday with my wife doing our pinnacle hunt for the week. Got three legs. Yesterday was leg day for me. I'm talking one after another too. Exo Challenge, legs. Master Empire, legs. Gambit, soul-sucking and legs. The strikes we ran earlier in the week gave me a helmet, which is what I needed for that slot. Still have two more slots to go. They're all at my powerful cap, but that's it. Granted, this season is abnormally long so arguments will inevitably made about how we have the time, but this is not normally how it is, season-wise, so them addressing this more than they have would be pretty swell.

This will blow your mind, but it is technically possible to lift heavy things at home. Gyms are horrible places and an excellent way to spread disease. I was once a gym member, and laughed 3x a week when brahs would fight over the closest parking space to the door, and take the elevator to the third floor gym. I guess it wasn't leg day.

I’m working on improving my eating in social situations and just showing myself to indulge a little more. I’m the same as you where when I have a cheat day, I full commit and go ham and have over 10,000 calories (my maintenance is 2,200-2,500, maybe 3,000-3,500 when I’m marathon training but currently recovering from injury). I eat 2,150 calories a day right now (maintainining), and my maintenance is somewhere between 2,200-2,300. My weight doesn’t move much because I’m not in much of a deficit, but having a tiny baby one helps honestly. My maintenance diet is strict and hits all the nutrients. I work out for 1 - 1.5 hours a day in weightlifting, and every morning I go for a 2-3 mile run (5 days a week, I don’t run after leg day). I’ve decided to allow a cheat day here and there (300-500 calorie surplus two days ago, 800-900 maybe yesterday), and it’ll be fine. I may gain a few ounces off the last two days, but I lift and run so much I’m convinced it will be muscle for a good portion at least (knowing me it’ll mostly be fat). I still eat my normal diet on the cheat days, then I try to add in one unhealthy meal instead of doing all unhealthy meals.

I just finally convinced myself to look at this programme and ~~do the truffle shuffle~~ actually try out one of these beginner runs. Didn't kill me. Although I was much shakier than usual doing my regular leg day workout. I'll have to figure out how to add this to my workouts more regularly!

Outside of fatigue management, people like their boxes and Push/Pull/Leg days. But there are full body programs as well, looking at [BtM](https://www.jimwendler.com/blogs/jimwendler-com/101078918-building-the-monolith-5-3-1-for-size) or the r/fitness Beginner Program for quick examples. Biceps and Hip Thrusts are not even really supersets (if we mean pairing antagonistic movements), it's more like curling in between heavy squats is a good way to save time during your 3 to 5 minute brakes between sets; though if we mean just doing any other exercise B in your rest time for A, then sure superset all the way.

1. Dude, first of all, props for cracking on regardless of your vision impairment. 2. machines are fine. Free weights have their advantages in overall mobility and working some of the smaller stability muscles but if you’re trying to pack on size, machines will do the job nicely. 3. If you’ve hit a wall, make sure you are eating enough calories and protein. 4. Make sure you’re giving your muscles and central nervous system adequate time to recover between workouts. For example, push day, pull day, leg day, rest day and repeat. 5. Whatever you’re doing, make sure you’re using progressive overload. For example, if your target is 3 sets of 8, when you manage to compete 3 sets of 8, increase the weight next time by 2.5kg and so on. So if I said anything you already know. You’ll smash it!

> I've made my own variation of a PPL, where I do shoulders and legs on the same day, because I think that would fit me better. > It's my first time making my own program > if I'm missing anything critical, or if some of the exercises, rest times or the rep ranges are redundant or doesn't make sense, then please do tell me I don't want to sound harsh but putting shoulders on leg day instead of push/pull days indicates a significant lack of understanding of muscle recovery and program design concepts.
