I do IM injections, but I find I am less sore if I do my shot right before a leg day. And I make sure to be careful and thorough when I stretch where I injected. If I do a leg day the day after an injection I am always sore.

Would I be getting more pip/soreness from injecting my glute a few hours after a leg day workout? Left has no pip at all and is injected morning before any workouts. girlfriend does all my injections so it shouldn't be a technique issue. pip isn't even that bad, im just wondering

I follow Hard on the Floor and I try to balance it out depending on what type of days it is. Leg day? I try to do an easy ride just to get the blood flowing but not strain my legs too much. Arm or upper body day? I allow for a little bit harder of a ride. Active recovery day? Those recovery rides are the best! Of course, there are days where I’ll do a little bit longer of a ride. I just took 2 days off and I’m already eyeing the new Emma 30 min Indie Pop ride (it’s like she knows me!) plus I’m going to do 40 mins of leg day simply because I’m fully rested and recovered. Any way, that’s what works for me. I do just a little bit every day to feel accomplished.

Oh so I'm not crazy lol. I just bought some shorts from their Fit collection since I like mid-rise stuff and the fabric feels incredibly thin and it's, of course, pretty sheer (even solid black shorts ffs) so I won't be able to use them on leg days. I still have some leggings from the same collection from like 3 years ago and the fabric isn't sheer and the fabric is much better. I won't do that mistake again.

Yeah my bros and I do the same post leg day whenever we need to relieve glute soreness by rubbing each other’s mounds and inserting four fingers up the bum for a more thorough and deeper massage to quench those inner muscle aches.

The women liking men with muscles just cause of muscles is just someone liking something superficial about you. What we really like about a guy that works out is the same reason a lot of men don't like fat woman. And it all circles around, discipline & responsibility. A guy that works out whether 7 days a week or once a week is a person showing discipline and responsibility for taking care of one's self. Aka, if I date you, I don't have to worry about nagging you about your weight or being concerned about it, and more than likely you don't participate in lazy behavior. Which is something no one likes to be around. With that said, don't skip leg day. It's really unattractive when you're built like Arnold up top but got some toothpick legs.

Really up to you. Ideally, if you have the time, you should squat twice a week if you really want to get stronger at it. For instance, I do it Tuesday on leg day and Friday when I do arms. On Friday I’ll do a pretty light set going more for reps than anything. If you don’t have time for it you could try to doing 5x5 of pause reps for a 4 week block then going back to normal Squats and go from there. Also I take back what I said on your ascent looking like a good mourning. The more I watch the more it looks like the problem is your knees are to far forward at the bottom. This makes the ascent harder/ wrong. The fix is still the same which is sitting back in the squat more. A good way of practicing sitting back is doing box squats. Most weight training bench’s work for this. You don’t need to sit down just touch it.

I play those games for my workout too. Another one I use is Pistol Whip for leg day. Sooo many squats.

I recommend following a heavy leg day with a recovery ride or Low Impact ride. I always think it feels good to flush out the legs with an easy fast cadence. I had a similar issue a few months ago, I was just trying too much. I still ride 6x a week but 3 days I do shorter or easier rides. 3 days I do more of a training ride for performance or output.

I’m half Italian and half Scandinavian. I’m DDF, vaxxed, (you should be too) 420 friendly. My cock (in case you were curious) is 7” long, cut, with a really nice head. I told an old FWB about this post and she said ‘make sure you emphasize how nice your cock is.’ So there’s that. I’ve been told I’m an attentive lover with a rlllyyy nice touch. I love pleasing my partner as much as I enjoy being pleased (GGG). I’m not really into that cumdump, fuck-you-like-a-robot bullshit, but open to it if you are. Spanks, scratching, restraints, choking and dirty talk are my cup of tea. Fun, kindness, enthusiasm, intensity, connection and humor are all very steamy, too. Is it Possible to Gain Strength Without Gaining Mass?

I’ve been working out for around 2 years now, and for 1 and 1/2 of those years I did leg day every week. 6 months ago, I realized my legs were disproportionately large to my torso, so I cut it down to every 2 weeks. They kept getting bigger, but at a slightly slower rate, so I cut it down to once a month (The whole two years, including the past 6 months I’ve been running 2 times a week). This has worked to plateau my growth; however, by decreasing the frequency of my leg days, I feel like my legs have gotten significantly weaker. Despite the stigma with leg days, I actually really enjoy them, but I work out for looks, so disproportionately large legs would conflict with that goal. However, just because I work out for looks doesn’t mean I don’t find enjoyment in getting stronger. So, TL;DR, my legs grow naturally faster than the rest of my body, how do I continue to gain strength while not gaining mass?

So, I've had issues with hypoglycemia mostly due to insulin resistance. I'd eat to manage blood sugar crashes. T increases insulin sensitivity, reduces my hypoglycemic symptoms, I can eat in a deficit. T also helps to better use body fat for energy. Eat less, burn fat, reduced blood sugar crashes. Low T basically made it so I couldn't recover from exertion. I like lifting weights, but couldn't keep it up for more than a couple of months before stopping from exhaustion. Chronic inflammation made low impact cardio about as painful as high impact cardio. Even walking, my knees sounded like popcorn and felt like they were sliding around. Can't keep up on the cardio. Perfect storm for being a couch potato. By maybe month 3 I had diet under control, chronic inflammation was under control (can jog on the treadmill virtually pain free) and except for heavy leg day, I can lift hard and be pain free and recovered with a night's sleep. Libido was like you, not gone, but meh. That's also changed dramatically. I'm a year in, weighing in at about 200 pounds 13% body fat from 231 pounds 29% body fat. Of course, keep in mind I've been trying to work out, lift hard, and eat well all along. T therapy has just sorta removed the pain from the equation.

Most recent 3 DXA scans here: [https://imgur.com/a/SP3bEzx](https://imgur.com/a/SP3bEzx) Physique at 6.7% BF here: [https://imgur.com/a/2ieHL54](https://imgur.com/a/2ieHL54) The look was a but too boney for me so decided to go into a caloric surplus of 5% which for me is 3400calories (historically measured TDEE is 3250cals) . I do that with carb cycling: **Macros:** * 3 x Low carbs (2xAbs, Arms day) * 3027cal, 299g carbs, 110g fat, 248g protein, 82g sugar, 101g fiber * 3 x Mid carbs (Chest, Back, Shoulder day) * 3833cal, 534g carbs, 92g fat, 271g protein, 118g sugar, 134g fiber * 1x High carbs (Leg day) * 4009cal. 596g carbs, 81g far, 278g protein, 114g sugar, 134g fiber **Workout:** * \~50' a day * 5' warmup * 3 exercises * 5 sets * 2-3min breaks between sets * 5-8rep range * no cardio * Monday-Sunday sequence: Chest, Arms, Shoulders, Abs, Back, Legs, Abs As you can see above after 6 weeks on the above program I am up to 7.4% BF and actually gained more fat (+1.5lb, 14.2lb) than lean tissue (+1.3lb,170.3lb). Note also that my highest total lean tissue value was 171.6lb so there should be room to go. Physique now at 7.6% BF here: [https://imgur.com/a/YscDPeI](https://imgur.com/a/YscDPeI) My questions / advice I am seeking: * Am I moving to fast and should reduce my caloric surplus to shift the growth ratio more in favor of lean tissue (I will say I probably operated closer to a 20% surplus the last two weeks than the planned 5%)? * Is it simply expected that when you try to add lean tissue at \~7% BF you will at least have a 1:1 ratio of fat to lean tissue or are there examples of ppl operating at much better ratios? * What would you consider an ideal growth rate and what surplus target would you set? * Any feedback on the carb cycling macros? Bc I do a workout everyday I don't go super low on carbs * Any feedback on the exercise regimen? I don't feel I overtrain and are making progressions in weight and reps; I should probably consider a deload week though soon after 12 weeks on this program? TIA! 30mpw is a lot when you're also trying to gain strength. How far a part are your leg days and your running days? Calories also seem a bit low too. How many cycles of 531 have you done? Progress takes time, especially once you're past the linear progression gains stage. I would go back and read Wendler's book that describes 531 because it is a program based around volume. I don't think you're missing out on programming, I think you're probably asking a lot of your body in a short period of time and having two competing goals is compounding the issue.

You only have so much leg, friend. It needs time to rest. If you’re going to go hard at the gym, I would stay fast cadence low resistance on the bike so it’s working more of your cardio and less of your muscle. Perhaps on a leg day that isn’t as intense you can look at upping your resistance training.. but again… you only have so much to give. Don’t over do it. You can’t have max training of both forms all at the same time, all week long. It’ll only end in injury.

In the end, a few of the other guys (a couple of them work where I do) kept trying to convince me I kept getting “just humour him, it’s just one date, if you aren’t into him after the date it’s ok” the night I gave in I was finishing off with cardio after upper body, he asked me and I agreed, he went back to the boys and had a little huddle to share the good news. One date turned into another and actually getting to know him and 6 months later after leg day around midnight in the gym with our friends there he asked me to marry him, I said yes, within a bit under a year of our first date we got married.

Thanks for this! I am personally not a fan of 18mm straps on Casios. There's a reason the straps flare out. 18mm the whole way around makes the watch face look comically big or the strap comically small. Like a bodybuilder top with chicken legs. Don't skip leg day!

Reddit

I play those games for my workout too. Another one I use is Pistol Whip for leg day. Sooo many squats.

I recommend following a heavy leg day with a recovery ride or Low Impact ride. I always think it feels good to flush out the legs with an easy fast cadence. I had a similar issue a few months ago, I was just trying too much. I still ride 6x a week but 3 days I do shorter or easier rides. 3 days I do more of a training ride for performance or output.

Is it Possible to Gain Strength Without Gaining Mass?

Reddit

Well I mean, he works his butt, arms, back and legs but completely misses abs. Idk if that's worse than missing leg day. Big and bulky on top and twig legs on the bottom.

I do pull exercises (back and biceps) 2 days, push exercises (chest and triceps) 2 days, legs on one day and see if I need a rest on the 6th and 7th. I should really get another leg day in but indo cardio every day.

Thanks for this! I am personally not a fan of 18mm straps on Casios. There's a reason the straps flare out. 18mm the whole way around makes the watch face look comically big or the strap comically small. Like a bodybuilder top with chicken legs. Don't skip leg day!
