How to Fix Twitter Video Quality

It can be difficult to upload a video with crisp details and excellent color quality to some web platforms, such as Twitter.

You’re confused as to why your Twitter videos are not clear. The pixel details in your video get destroyed by Twitter. As a result, the superb video quality on your smartphone generally appears poor when uploaded to Twitter. Twitter’s media compression algorithms are fairly rigid, and there’s nothing you can do about it because it’s a company-wide policy. There are a few key steps you may do to improve or correct the video quality on Twitter.

This compression function comes directly from Twitter, and it was created with the understanding that not everyone has a fast internet connection. This function is not exclusive to Twitter; it is also used by other social media sites such as Facebook. If you’re on a low-bandwidth connection, a high-quality video will take longer to load. It is always preferable to play a low-quality video than to wait for a high-quality video to buffer. After all, who enjoys buffering?

This is a step-by-step guide on how to improve the quality of Twitter videos and how to get going the Twitter algorithm.

How to Improve Twitter Video Quality

To optimize and publish your videos in good quality, follow some of these simple tips.

Use Correct Format

MP4 and MOV are the two video formats that can be uploaded or embedded on Twitter. While Twitter recommends MP4 for use on both desktop and mobile platforms, MOV is only supported on smartphones. There will be no video quality issues unless you upload videos in the above-recommended formats.

Follow the Twitter Media Requirements

Size: Twitter supports video files up to 512 MB in size. If you upload a file that is larger than the required size, the platform will reject it. The maximum video length should be 2 minutes and 20 seconds, in addition to the size. You won’t be able to edit any part of a video that is longer than that.

Resolution: Twitter allows videos with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a minimum resolution of 32 x 32 pixels. Twitter will accept anything between these resolution limits, allowing you to upload the video without any post-processing.

Aspect Ratio: Aspect ratios ranging from 1:2.39 to 2.39:1 are allowed on Twitter. It is recommended to convert the wide-angle videos using the best aspect ratios. More views are always associated with more visibility.

As long as you follow all of the above requirements, your videos will not be blurry and pixelated. Unless you’re uploading a high-resolution video, Twitter’s output should be fine. If you are unable to format the videos according to twitter requirements then the app will change the format accordingly and it can cause the issue.
